		<description>Thanks for the update, Peter: it&#039;s exciting how fast this is developing!  I think it&#039;s a great contribution to experimentation on approaches to make managing research data easy.

On persistent identifiers, I believe ANDS work on a a service for this is well advanced.

Is it possible to give a high priority to &quot;Enable users to add formal, schematized metadata via a plugin interface&quot; (FAQ 1.1)?  I&#039;m wondering whether the automatic metadata that can be captured from objects (e.g. images like Picasa) is not of limited value, in comparison to giving  researchers an easy way to add discipline- and project-specific metadata.  Prior to that, the tagging approach sounds good.  Even free-text informal &quot;metadata&quot; like a README file describing each data file (see Robin Rice&#039;s Data Sharing Continuum http://is.gd/nKtj ) would be worth catering for.</description>
